The Croton Tamara comes from the Crotoneae (Euphorbiaceae) family. Crotons are known for their mostly “colourful appearance”. This plant distinguishes itself from the rest of the family because of its slightly curled, smaller leaves.

Crotons are relatively easy to take care of. Give the plant regularly small amounts of water so that the soil stays slightly moist. When the soil feels drier you can water the plant again. At lower temperatures and less light, the plant will automatically consume less water. Tamara likes lots of light, a minimum number of 5 hours of sun is desirable. Fresh leaves will be created when the plant gets sufficient light, does the plant lose its leaves or are the leafs dark? Then place the pot slightly closer to the window.
