The Dracaena Marginata, one of the multiple Dragon blood trees is an easy and sturdy plant and is therefore also very suitable for the office. The plant is recognizable thanks to its elongated long leaves with a red edge from which you can clearly read its state of mind. Fun fact; the Dracaena family got their name from the Dracaena Draco, a plant with red coloured resin.

The Dracaena is easy to maintain. It requires little water and does well in less light/partial shade. In principle, this plant has enough water when watered again and again when the soil feels dry. Obviously, this will more quickly be the case in the summer periods than in the winter. In fact, in winter even once every 4 to 6 weeks may be enough! If you notice that the soil still feels moist after a few days, next time you can give the plant less water at once.
Do you have little light in the house? No problem, the Marginata does well without too much light. It is sufficient for a maximum of 3 hours of sunlight, so it is advisable to place the plant near a north-facing window. If the plant does not really grow, it may receive too little light. Do the leaves turn yellow? Then move the plant further away from the window.
It is not necessary to spray the Dracaena Marginata, but because it removes dust, it does contribute to the decorative value and health of the plant.
