Hoya Carnosa 'Shirley'

This Hoya has narrow thin leaves with white-silver spots. Because the Hoya has long tendrils, it can be tied up (climbing) or used as a hanging plant. When the plant comes into bloom, these small symmetrical star-shaped flowers smell strongly sweet.

Please note: this plant can currently only be picked up in the store or delivered in Rotterdam with the bicycle courier.

In the Netherlands, the Hoya is also called ‘wax flower’, because of the flowers that smell like the sweet smell that freshly washed clothes can also have. You can smell this especially in the evenings. The plant likes to hang/stand in a place where there is a lot of indirect sunlight, but not too light. He likes a continuously slightly moist soil, you can take this into account when watering. The long tendrils of the plant first continue to grow, before leaves appear. Clipping causes growth to stagnate.
