Because of het white flowers the Spathiphyllum is more commonly known as the Peace Lily. She origins from the moist soil of the amazon and therefore she needs a lot of water indoors. But when you take good care of her, she will take good care of you too. The Peace Lily is known for filtering more indoor pollutants than most other plants. Inside her pores, toxic gasses like carbon monoxide and formaldehyde are broken down and neutralized. This makes her great for urban residences.

The Spathiphyllum needs frequent watering and mist because they thrive with higher humidity, such as found in the rainforest. When she is low on water the leaves will begin to hang, as soon as she’s watered again the leaves will come right up again. The leaves will also show you when they are getting to much sunlight by turning yellow, while to little sunlight will make them turn pale.
When she starts developing new leaves the old ones will turn brown. To make room for the new leaves it is best to cut them away as low as possible. This will direct the plants energy towards the new leaves, and you will have a nice healthy plant.
