Hidden between apartment blocks in the Rotterdam Blijdorp district, you’ll find Stadskwekerij de Kas. Named after the old greenhouse complex in which the nursery garden is located. As the city nursery garden itself says, they have a preference for native plants. These plants have been present for years and have a unique value for many animal species. The main thing is that the plants they offer attract many insects such as birds, butterflies, bees, bumblebees and other insects.
The offer changes seasonally, but herbaceous perennials predominate.
