Bloedzuring 'Red Stripe' De Bolster

Blood Sorrel ‘Red Stripe’ is a great edible plant for your (semi)shady garden. When sown in high densities (20x2cm), the young leaves of Blood Sorrel ‘Red Stripe’ can be harvested for salads or to garnish. When sown with a wider planting distance (20x20cm) it behaves as a perennial, which grows again the following year. Here you have to take into account the extra growing time. Once fully grown, the mature leaves can be cut off just above the ground and used in soups and stews.
